1) Walk through the garden
Alexandria has many gardens. Experience the May Flowers and a peaceful afternoon. Green Springs Garden Park boasts a beautiful historic home, visitor’s center, horticulture library, trails, and of course, glorious gardens in bloom. 2) Taste the flavors
St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub is a Del Ray local favorite offering freshly brewed coffee, a premier cafe menu, craft beer on draft, and live music. The Monteaquieu Winery in downtown Alexandria shares the finest flavors from the world’s best wines. Referencing the historic port virtue of the mother city, Port City Brewing Company on Wheeler Avenue is easy to get to and offers a variety of palatable brews including a smooth lager, sweet wheats, hoppy ales, and uniques blends. Have a sip and relax.

3) No Itinerary Necessary
Alexandria has it all: delectable, fine dining, boutiques, breweries, galleries and so much more… Head downtown, take a walk, and go with the flow.
4) Get inspired!
The Torpedo Factory is a MUST GO, one of a kind stop for art lovers. The factory manufactured torpedos beginning in 1918. When World War II ended, the building was used for storage until it was purchased by the City of Alexandria. In 1974, after city workers and volunteer artists spent months clearing and renovating, the Torpedo Art Center opened. It currently features 165+ artists in their home studios, making it the largest dedicated art center of its kind in the United States.
